Update: Due to Pandemic, the wedding has been postponed to October 17th
Dear friends and family,
Due to the increasing crisis and spread of COVID-19, Hadley and Whitney have made the decision to postpone the celebration of their wedding until October 17th. We hope to have everything exactly the same as it would’ve been in April, with one notable exception:
As the couple already applied for their marriage license, they will be going ahead with a very small ceremony on April 25th to legally marry. The couple hopes that all of their friends and family will attend their “celebration of marriage” ceremony in October, with an awesome reception to follow.
Stay healthy out there and wash your hands! We’ll see you this fall.
About the Couple
Whitney Evans and Hadley Sanders met via a Bumble dating app match on August 14, 2018. Hadley worked incredibly hard to secure the first date, sending not one, but three messages getting to know Whitney before asking her out for a drink. The two hit it off over a mutual dislike of Congressman Matt Gaetz and their romance blossomed quickly.
Fast forward to September 17, 2019, when, after a routine Spin class, Hadley decided that post-workout, sweaty, and possibly a little dehydrated Whitney was the perfect time to ask her to be his wife. After swearing she knew it was coming for five minutes, she agreed emphatically. Then they continued with their original plans to visit The Elbow Room (a staple of their relationship) and made Whitney’s mom wait to get better photos because it’s very dark in there.

Whitney, ever the planner, had all of this wedding nonsense pre-decided and wanted a beautiful outdoor wedding at their property in Alabama. But thanks to some divine intervention, she opted to change everything and move the event to The Lee House in Downtown Pensacola onĀ April 25, 2020. There was much rejoicing.
The happy couple are thrilled to invite a huge list of family and friends from near and far and can’t wait to share in their special day with all of you.
