News ~ May 2020

Five years ago this month, I released a little book called Empath. It was my catharsis book, a novel that needed to come out and help me process the devastating end of a relationship and the darkness I’d fallen into in my solitude. I poured my entire heart into the book, digging deep into my own anxieties and feelings and putting them on the page. When it was done, I emerged clean and new, ready to start the new chapter of my life here in Florida.

To celebrate, I’ll be releasing some “updates” to the #SlayYourFears series. It’s been fun to see where I was, where I am, and the journey I’ve been on. I hope you enjoy them, and if you haven’t picked up Empath yet, now’s a great time to get into it!

Writing-wise, April was a dud, hah! But I have a clearer mind for May, a couple of book ideas I can play on, and what I hope is an easy month of continued self-isolation. And since the actual emotional wedding piece is now out of the way, I’ve got much more brain to create. Always a good thing.

The City of Veils – Florida Author Project YA Book of the Year

Y’all, I am so excited to announce that The City of Veils was selected as the IAP YA Book of the Year for the State of Florida! Brynna’s first book was the easiest and most fun to write, and I’m so thrilled that everyone is loving it as much as I do.
